My Recruiting Experience
My journey started when I was heading into my freshman year of high school. I did the traditional method of reaching out to coaches through cold emails and attended a few college camps. When I was able to showcase my unique skills, I gained the attention of colleges. The lesson that I took away from my recruitment experience was to always follow what you truly know is right for you, not anyone else.
Being A Collegiate Athlete
My student-athlete experience was far from normal. I started at a Division 1 school where I loved my teammates and coaches, but I realized that I wanted something else out of my college experience more than just basketball and school. So, I transferred my junior year to a D3 school where I fell in love with the experience of being an athlete at a high level, but also having the "typical" college experience.
