My Recruiting Experience
I had a very confusing and drawn out recruiting process, and looking back on it, I wish I had a better idea of what college athletics were actually like at the schools I was pursuing. My academic development has always been equally as important to me as my athletic development, so I began my recruiting process targeting Ivy and Patriot league schools. However, after exploring my options and receiving offers from several schools, I decided to continue my journey at Amherst College.
Being A Collegiate Athlete
Through playing sports at the collegiate level I was able to form lifelong connections with people across the globe. No matter what or where you play, the love for competition and camaraderie brings together people in a way that nothing else can. The challenges college athletes face from the recruiting process, to balancing schoolwork with practice, are plentiful, but pale in comparison to the rewards of the community formed through that group struggle towards a common goal.
